It’s hard to keep track of the account wins and losses across the industry. To help you keep on top of who has what, here’s a wrap of the pitches from the week.
ICC T20 Cricket World Cup
Full-service agency CHE Proximity has been appointed to the media account for the upcoming ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2020. The agency has been tasked with delivering media planning and buying services for the global cricket event, which takes place in Australia at the end of next year. CHE won the account after a competitive pitch, joining a roster of “world-class” service providers, who will all work to deliver the event on an international stage. The news of the appointment follows the ICC’s decision in November last year to rename the ICC World T20 to the ICC T20 World Cup as part of its new global cricket strategy which launched this year.
Lindt & Sprungli
WPP-owned full service agency Ikon has been appointed as the media agency of record for chocolate brand Lindt & Sprungli, following a competitive pitch. The account win will see Ikon assume responsibility for all aspects of media planning across the Lindt chocolate brand portfolio, with Ikon taking over brand activity from 1 July. Ikon Sydney will handle the account with managing partner James Sawyer adding the agency was looking forward to helping Lindt transform its presence within Australia in “increasingly challenging times”.
P&O Cruises
Yoghurt Digital has won P&O Cruises Australia’s SEO account, following a competitive pitch. Yoghurt will manage the SEO and content for P&O Cruises, including the revamping of current SEO practices and the integration of data-led creative content into organic search strategies. Yoghurt Digital co-founder and SEO director Matthew Forzan says the win highlights Yoghurt’s ability to identify key client needs with an innovative “data over opinions” approach. The win comes at a time of rapid growth for Yoghurt Digital, as the Sydney-based agency continues to build a portfolio of strong long-term clients.
