Pretium group appoints new vice president – Vernon Morning Star

Pretium group announced the appointment of Cameron Ray as the Vice President and Director of Marketing and Digital Solutions.

In 2011, Ray was the marketing director for Big-O-Tires in Delta B.C. and was responsible for all aspects of branding and online marketing management and also gained insight into a growing corporate enterprise. In 2013, Ray joined New-Line Hose & Fittings as a marketing assistant and Graphic Designer. It was at New-Line that Ray worked closely with sales staff and promoted a wide range of products across various multi-media platforms.

Since then, Ray has been the regional account manager at Infonews/Infotel based in the Okanagan, where he has been developing marketing and business plan for businesses across the Thompson-Okanagan, with a focus on online and digital strategies.

“I am a marketing and sales professional with the knowledge of strategic digital marketing, B2B sales procedures & principles, business development, graphic and digital design, digital analytics, social media management, websites, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, content writing and proofing, email campaigns, products and packaging design, videography and photography, plus a passion to never stop educating myself,” wrote Ray in his profile. “I am always up to date on new processes and trends of an ever rapidly evolving world of marketing and sales. Maintaining a positive attitude, calm demeanour, attentive ear and helping hand, is how I build a beneficial working relationship with colleagues and clients across all types of businesses.”

Pretium group president Sherman Dahl said he is excited to have Ray join the team.

“Cameron [Ray] is going to be key part of all that we do at Pretium Group and will be based out of the main office in Vernon on a full-time basis,” said Dahl. “He will share the main with the Bold Media Group and Pretium Catering. This will bring Pretium World headquarters to a staff of two — Cam and me.”

Pretium Capital is a division of The Pretium Group. Current advisory clients are all publicly traded companies in the resource sector where Pretium develops branding and investor relations platforms for these important clients.

Pretium Capital is also active in raising capital for small-cap public and private companies in various sectors for projects globally. Pretium has been involved in multiple transactions in 2018 and with their final transaction closing in the last two weeks of this year. Though Dahl said he isn’t sure how many deals were done in 2018, he said he knows it was a good year.

“This division is headed by me – and the demands of this side of the business are growing – and the digital solutions are very important,” said Dahl. “Another key growth area for Pretium Group to grow the Marketing and Digital Solutions division with the addition of more advisory clients — exactly what [Ray] has been doing successfully. This fits in perfectly with all that we can offer through Bold Media. It further fits well with the two other key marketing divisions of Hi-Pro, Printech and The Ups Store – where you can further brand your company.”

Pretium group of companies includes: Wings Tap and Grill – Vernon and Quesnel, Wings Food Truck – Mobile Grill, The Italian Kitchen Company – Vernon and Lake Country, The Italian Kitchen Sauce Company – Throughout B.C. – Co-Packing and Marketing in Vernon, Pretium Catering Company – Okanagan B.C., The Ups Store – Vernon, Printech Printing Corp – Vernon B.C., HI Pro Corporate Sportswear – Vernon B.C., Brown Mechanical – Vernon B.C., Bold Media – Vernon B.C., and DD Express – Okanagan BC.
