Rhode Island Comic (RICC) hits the Rhode Island Convention Center AND Dunkin Donuts Center this November 10th, 11th, and 12th! Yup, this tiny state hosts a comic convention that has become so large, it needs two venues to contain all the excitement. Best known for its wide array of talented comic creators and artists since it’s inaugural event in 2012, RICC has also become a premier source for celebrity guests.
“We are incredibly excited and humbled by the extraordinary guest list for this year’s show. Each year, we strive to top the year before, to keep fans coming back. This year will be the biggest and best we’ve had thus far.” – Susan Soares, Press Relations Manager (Source: turnto10.com)
Star Power
Time to grab your photo ops and autographs! Marvel main men Sebastian Stan, Mark Ruffalo, Mike Colter, and Jon Bernthal will be on hand to greet their eager fans. Current hit shows The Walking Dead and Stranger Things will also be well represented with the likes of Norman Reedus, Khary Payton, Michael Cudlitz, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and more.
Looking for a blast from the past? Take your pick! Rhode Island Comic Con is hosting John Cusak, Lou Ferrigno, Sam Jones, William Shatner and Paul Reubens to name a few. Even Elijah Wood, Sean Astin and Andy Serkis (Frodo, Sam and Gollum) will be ‘There and Back Again’ for a Lord of the Rings reunion. From Star Wars and Star Trek to Wrestling and Power Rangers… RICC will have it all!

Creators, Artists, Merchants and More!
I would be remiss not to mention the vast array of amazing creators scheduled to appear at Rhode Island Comic Con. From mainstream and indie to kiddie delights, the talent is hard to beat. RICC is the perfect place to chat with some of your favorite comic artists that feature names like Neal Adams, Ashley Witter, Billy Tucci, Chris Campagna, Greg Horn and Katie Cook. And, as always, I encourage fans to check out all the amazing artists that work so hard in bringing your favorite characters to life. For those looking to expand their fandom collections, rest assured, there will be plenty of toys, crafts, jewelry and clothing from which to choose. Be sure to bring your wallet!
Panels and Events
For the more inquisitive fans, there are a plethora of panels at your disposal. Whether you want to learn new games, hone your writing skills, meet up with fellow fans, or listen in as celebs discuss your favorite movie or TV show, there I something for everyone. And let’s not forget the cosplay. Tons of fans dressed to impress as their favorite hero, villain, movie star, cartoon character and so much more. Don’t miss an opportunity to see them put their talents on display during the ever popular cosplay contest and be sure to have your camera ready!
Remember, the fun doesn’t stop when the convention closes. Keep it going by hitting the After Hours Party on Friday and Saturday; a perfect way to relax, unwind and rehash all the day’s excitement with your fellow nerds. Or, rock out on Sunday, November 12th 7 pm with Gene Simmons Band at The Vets.
