AMD is expected to release the Ryzen 9 3950X by the end of September. It was spotted today on EOS PC, an online retailer for 879 Swiss Francs, which pretty much confirms the launch date.
The Ryzen 9 3950X is a 16-Core/32-Thread CPU which uses AMD’s new Zen2 architecture, based on the 7nm process. It has a base clock speed of 3.5GHz and a boost of 4.7GHz. Moreover, a Wraith Prism RGB Cooler is included in the box and has the same power rating of 105W as the Ryen 9 3900X.
At this point in time, there doesn’t seem to be any response from Intel with regards to enthusiast-grade CPUs like the 3900X and the soon to arrive 3950X. Even the Ryzen 7 3700X is slightly faster than the Core i9-9900K in many tasks. However, with Intel’s 10th Gen Comet-Lake CPUs, things might change. But, even then, a 10nm CPU update to the 9900K won’t be happening anytime soon.
The Ryzen 9 3950X is rumored to launch on 30th September. We’ll keep you updated as soon as new information surfaces.
