Sega Have Announced The New Total War

It’s always a good day when a new Total War game gets announced. It felt great knowing that the series was going back to Ancient China, and now it seems we’re off to Troy, a real ancient city located on the coast of Turkey.

Creative Assembly’s new game is the furthest the series has gone back in time, which is also known as the Bronze Age.

You’re involved with the Aegean civilisation, and choices you make will shape the lands from the “mythical heights of Mount Olympus to the arid deserts of Lemnos.”

The information I have here states that the world is going to include myths and legends including gods and monsters. It’s making me think back to the story of Achilles, who famously fell in battle after Hector shot him in the achilles heel with an arrow. His weak spot so to speak.

We can expect everything we know and love about the Total War series to remain, such as huge full-scale battles as well as a plethora of diplomacy options, which I hope they keep and improve on from Total War: Three Kingdoms. There could also be some magic at play which we first saw in the Warhammer games, especially if Gods and monsters are present. But we’ll have to wait and see on that one.

We’re expecting to see Total War: Troy released in 2020 on Steam, and it can even be added to your wishlist now. For more information, you can head over to the Total War website now.
