FARGO — The North Dakota District Export Council will sponsor a website globalization seminar from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at North Dakota State University’s Barry Hall Room 124, 811 2nd Ave. N.
The seminar will offer free and low-cost changes business owners can make to their websites to increase their visibility in overseas markets.
Participants will learn how to do the following:
- Identify the strong and weak points of their current website
- Gain a better idea of who is visiting their website
- Consider options for domain strategy
- Increase the number of international visitors to their website via improved Search Engine Optimization
- Incorporate simple, free web structure changes that will attract international visitors
- Avoid common mistakes that send the wrong message
- Improve client inquiry forms
- Choose which website translation method works the best
- Leverage state and/or federal grants to cover costs of globalizing their websites
They will also receive a customized comprehensive website effectiveness assessment.
Early bird registration of $195 is available through Nov. 21. The cost is $225 for those who register between Nov. 22 and the deadline, Dec. 2. Lunch is included.
