I work for a fairly small company and budgets are tight. We’re running a joint competition with another company which we agreed to host. The aim of the competition is to collect lots of opt ins and their contact details. I’ve ran 1 competition before using shortstack.com which seems free at first, however when we gathered all the data it then asks us to pay to export the data so it’s not actually free. We’re looking for a completely free alternative.
We don’t have Mailchimp (we use ActiveCampaign) so can’t use Mailchimp for this.
I’ve considered asking our web team if they could build a landing page on our website. The benefit of this is when we advertise this competition (via Facebook ads, organic social posts, newsletters etc) all contacts will land on our website boosting our traffic (but probably a high bounce rate too). Would this be beneficial to our on-site SEO? I also expect they may browse other parts of our site…. helping conversions.
The other company who we’re doing the competition with are a lot bigger than us so I imagine they’d generate even more contacts to our site than we would. What do you think of this idea?
