SNAPCHAT DOWN – UPDATE ONE: Snapchat has acknowledged the issues currently plaguing its app and is “looking into” the problem.
It said: “We’re aware some Snapchatters are having trouble using the app.
“Hang tight – we are looking into it.”
ORIGINAL STORY: Snapchat is a tremendously popular app that’s harnessed by millions on Android and iPhone.
But this evening it seems to be suffering from a major issue preventing fans from using it properly.
Independent outage monitor Downdetector has registered over 3,700 reports from users at one time insisting Snapchat is suffering from problems.
It seems users are unable to refresh their messages, stories and are unable to send snaps, either.
In response to the outage, a number of users have flocked to Twitter to vent their frustration.
One said: “Is Snapchat down for anyone else?
“All my other apps are loading just fine!”
A second wrote: “The first time in months I’m trying to snap someone and Snapchat is down, of course.”
Another declared: “So why does Snapchat go down every week.”
It’s currently unclear when Snapchat will be up and running again.
Express.co.uk will be updating this page with the latest server status for Snapchat.
