The tenth couple to go home during season 25 of “Dancing with the Stars,” falling just short of the coveted Mirrorball trophy, is Drew Scott and Emma Slater. Frankie Muniz and partner Witney Carson were also in jeopardy. Before taking one final bow center stage, Scott praises the talent of the remaining finalists, which include Muniz, Lindsey Stirling and Jordan Fisher.
In the premiere, the duo danced a charming foxtrot to “Our House” and scored a 16 out of 30. Their other dances included a passionate rumba to “Lights Down Low” for Latin Night (21), heartfelt waltz to “Both Sides Now (Torch Songs) for Trio Night (22), mysterious Argentine tango to “Red Right Hand” for Guilty Pleasures Night (23), spirited tango to “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” for the semi-finals (24), vibrant Viennese waltz to “Rainbow Connection” for Disney Night (25) and “Corpse Bride”-inspired Charleston to “Remains of the Day” for Halloween Night (27).
Tonight, the couple danced redemption-style paso doble to “Get Ready,” earning 36 out of 40 points. They also danced a bold and theatrical freestyle, which scored 39 points. Their average score throughout the competition was 24 points.
Slater has been a “Dancing with the Stars” pro for eight seasons. Her other partners have included Michael Waltrip, Redfoo, Hayes Grier, Rick Perry and Rashad Jennings—who won the Mirrorball trophy last season.
