TCL this year announced a whole handful of televisions at this year’s IFA convention, although in this article, we will only be concentrating on one, the EC78. The reason for this is the fact that it’s only the EC78 that’s going to be launching in the UK this year, so it’s a good point to start there.
Above we have the brand new EC78, a near frameless, ultra-slim design that’s made from metal, and sports 4K HDR Pro picture quality with Wide Colour Gamut, Dolby Vision, the new HDR10+ and also Android Smart TV with Google Assistant.
There’s even a built-in Dolby Atmos codec so any kind of soundbar or cinema system which is compatible with Dolby Atmos will enjoy some amazing sound quality. Built into the TV are four front-firing speakers which have been made by Onkyo.
The TCL EC78 will be available in a 55-inch, and 65-inch models, with model numbers 55EC780 and 65EC780. Unfortunately I have no pricing details as of yet, but will update you either here, or over at @technuovo on Twitter. Also expect a review from us in the future too.
