Update: Twitter is now back up and running
It’s one of the most popular social media platforms in the world, but it appears that Twitter has crashed this afternoon.
According to Down Detector the issues started at around 15:00 BST, and are affecting users around the world.
While the reason for the outage remains unclear, of those who reported issues, 52% said the problem was with the website, 36% with the iOS app, and 11% with the Android app.

Mirror Online tried accessing the site, and was met with a message saying ‘Something went wrong. Try again.”
Mirror Online has contacted Twitter for comment.
Thankfully, the outage didn’t last long, and around 20 minutes after it went down, Twitter is now back up and running.
