WAKE FOREST — The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a workshop next month for businesses interested in increasing traffic and sales by improving their online presence. Grow with Google’s Demming Bass will discuss best practices for improving your website’s visibility in Google’s organic search results, on all devices; how to create a free Google My Business listing; and more.
Participants will learn how customers find businesses online and how to promote individual businesses using Search Engine Optimization and Smart Campaigns in Google Ads. Attendees will walk away with a strategy, plan and tools to get their organizations or events in front of their target audience at the right time and with the right message.
Demming Bass is a speaker for the Grow with Google partner program. After an award-winning career as a chamber of commerce executive in North Carolina and Georgia, he led Constant Contact’s marketing efforts across six states in the Southeast. To date, he’s trained over 10,000 small businesses, nonprofits and chambers on how to be better marketers.
The workshop is open to both Chamber members and non-members for a $20 fee. The first 50 registered attendees get Google free swag and a $100 Google Ads Credit.
The marketing workshop is scheduled for Nov. 13 from 8:30-10 a.m. at the Wake Electric Multi-Purpose Space, 100 S. Franklin St., Wake Forest.
