Instagram,
a social media company owned by facebook is gradually broadening its
application that allows users to do some certain things like upload and share
live videos, pictures and so on.
According
to Techcrunch, Instagram has integrated a new feature to its App that will
recommend posts to users based on the activities of the accounts they follow on
the platform. This new instagram feature is seen on the updated version of the App
and can be accessed through a thumbnail above the main feed.

Instagram’s ‘Recommended’ posts Feature function
This
new feature shouldn’t make you think that you are being monitored on Instagram
by your followers – they only see contents you like. The recommended Posts are
suggested to you based on the content liked by the accounts you follow on
instagram, and if you see something you don’t like, you can temporarily hide
“Recommended for You” posts by tapping the camera icon above the post
and selecting “Hide.”
Instagram
has also assured its users that the ‘Recommended’ posts will not replace or get
in the way of the accounts you explicitly follow, and will instead appear after
you have seen all posts in your feed.
