After Facebook with Lasso, YouTube is reportedly working on Shorts, a TikTok competitor, that will take advantage of licensed music that YouTube Music has in its catalog.
Many big companies try to copy features from other successful apps, but many end up just creating simple copycats.
For me, what would be great is if YouTube introduces some kind of revenue sharing program with creators inside this new app. I think it would take the market by storm, with all established creators coming to the app. Also if they integrate with the main YouTube app/website, this could mean a new way for new creators to be discovered.
What do you think, would you use this new app?
