Zach D’Onofrio, 17, sang “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra on American Idol. D’Onofrio also has a secret weapon, his good luck charm like none other. His decorative lucky socks. He gave a pair to each celebrity judge when he auditioned in front of them. Katy Perry actually danced with hers. Lionel Richey and Luke Bryan both appreciative, according to D’Onofrio.
The judges commented on his speaking voice being completely different than his singing voice. Luke Bryan noted that he has Sinatra down but that he told Zach he needs to lay it back. Katy Perry said that something has already dropped and that his voice will change. Lionel Richie said Zach killed it and that Zach is going on to Hollywood.
