Zotac are known for this kind of thing, they produce small scale graphics cards and compact form desktop PC’s. In fact, we actually saw a Zotac coffee machine PC back at IFA last year, a working machine I should add! When Zotac have produced these compact PC’s in the past, they do not mess around and they haven’t this time either with the launch of their new MEK Mini PC’s.
Zotac
– Intel i5-9400F 6c CPU coupled with the RTX 2060 Super
– Intel i7-8700 6c CPU coupled with the RTX 2070 Super
Both options include 16GB 2666MHz DDR4 Ram, a 240GB NVME M.2 SSD, a number of outputs including HDMI and DisplayPort and either a 1TB or 2TB SATA hard drive.
Both options look the same, they come in the same case and boy is that case small. The case comes in at just 136mm wide, 261mm long and 259mm high. That is compact. The front of the case is equipped with addressable LED’s, which allow you to customise your look by assigning colours or effects, like fading in & out.
Everything in this build is air-cooled and the case looks to offer good ventilation, with a number of inlets or outlets on each side of the case. Drawing cool air in from the bottom and exhausting heat from the top. We haven’t tested it but you’d think it would be quite loud but Zotac is saying it offers “whisper quiet cooling”. We’ll take that with a pinch of salt until we’ve seen it in action.
Zotact are offering plug & play bundles, which includes a ten-keyless (TKL) LED-lit mechanical gaming keyboard and LED-lit optical gaming mouse with an adjustable DPI setting.
What’s the price for all this glorious stuff? A cool $1300 for the 2060 version and $1500 for the 2070 version. When you break it down, it’s not an overly expensive price and it’s hassle free.
